POLICE were investigating the death of a 59-year-old man in Darnley Road, Grays after his body was discovered on sunday.
Neighbours contacted the police at around 4.30pm on sunday after being concerned for the whereabouts and welfare of the man.
His body was discovered in the flat in the street near to Grays High Street.
Scenes of crime officers attended at the scene. Officers still remain there today (wednesday).
An Essex Police Spokesman said: “We are treating this as an unexplained death. No date has been set for a post mortem as yet.”
