IT would have been easy for Ruben Carril to “turn his face to the wall” when he lost his leg in a motorcycle accident five years ago. For Ruben though it was the age old adage of “get busy living or get busy dying”.
We showed the news item of the accident last week.
Ruben found love, a reason to live, moved from California to Purfleet and began a whole new life.
Every day is an adventure for Ruben. This summer he plans a sky-dive! We thought we would leave it to Ruben to explain life’s journey and how you can help him raise money for the Limbless Society.

Special thanks goes out to the Circus Tavern who on the 5th of June helped raise over £300 for the Limbless Association. They sponsored my skydive by allowing me to put fliers on all the tables and have two of their lovely ladies go around with buckets collecting money. The Circus Tavern helps out with many charities and my hat goes off to them for helping sponsor my upcoming skydive jump on 18 July 2010
