Pupils at a Grays junior school have been jumping for joy this week.
The children at Thameside Junior in Manor Road, Little Thurrock, took part in the British Heart Foundation’s sponsored skip, raising hundreds of pounds for the charity.
One of them, ten-year-old Victor Oladipo, raised over £100 in sponsorship.
Head teacher, Mark Jones, said: “I am delighted that the children were so keen to get involved in such a worthy cause. We don’t know exactly how much was raised as we’re still collecting, but it looks like its going to be several hundred.
“Young Victor did particularly well with £110 promised at the last count, but all the children did the school proud, skipping for half an hour.”
