Thanks to an aggressive 53 from Graeme Davidge, the Belhus 2nd XI posted a modest 207 for 6 in the Shepherd Neame League match on 12th June against Woodford Green, and a bold but considered declaration followed.
With Woodford Green sitting confidently on 203 for 5, defeat was staring us in the face until Ricki Ellis (pictured) produced a magnificent spell of 4 wickets in 6 deliveries including his first ever hat trick and career-best figures of 6 for 26.
The scores finished level in a tense but exciting draw and the 2nd XI remain unbeaten this season under the thoughtful captaincy of Tom Thompson.
