Detectives in South Ockendon have released a CCTV image of a man believed to be involved in a street robbery. A 31-year-old local man was travelling home by bus and got off in South Road, South Ockendon about 11.45pm on Friday, May 7, 2010.
He was followed off the bus by a group of people who then attacked him and stole his mobile phone. The man required hospital treatment for injuries to his face and head. The CCTV image is of one of the people believed to have been involved.
Anyone who recognises the man is asked to contact police at South Ockendon on 0300 333 4444, where the officer dealing is Dc Danny Carter, or they can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
A 19-year-old local man and a 16-year-old local youth have been arrested in connection with the attack and are on police bail until August 2.
