Detectives have appealed for information following an armed robbery at a store at Lakeside shopping centre on Friday July 16.
Two men entered the T-Mobile shop at about 10am and threatened the three members of staff with what is thought to have been a stun gun.
They filled two black bin liners with Blackberry phones and fled out the back door to car park 3 where a third person was believed to have been waiting.
Ds Tony Kantaris said: “This was very frightening for the staff who were subjected to a terrifying ordeal at the hands of the suspects. Thankfully this type of robbery is very rare in this part of Essex, and we want to catch those responsible as soon as we can. We want to talk to anyone driving through Lakeside that may have seen these men, or saw a vehicle acting suspiciously at the time.”
The two men who entered the shop were both black, aged between 22-25, of slim build and about 5ft 7in tall. One was wearing a blue DK hoody, black jeans and black trainers with orange stitching. The second man was wearing a black jacket and other dark clothing.
Anyone with information should contact Grays CID on 0300 333 4444.
