Detectives are renewing their appeal for a group of specific men as witnesses to an allegation of rape in Grays.
Police were on routine patrol shortly after 3am on Saturday, July 3 when they were flagged down by a teenage girl who stated that she had been raped in an alleyway near Grays Park approximately an hour earlier.
Earlier this month, officers issued CCTV of a group of men they wanted to identify. They are still looking to speak to these men purely as witnesses and not suspects.
On Sunday, July 4, a 17-year-old girl from Upminster in east London was arrested in connection with this ongoing investigation. She is currently on police bail until Saturday, September 25 pending further enquiries.
