Davy Down Trust is promoting 2 workshops on Sunday August 8th from 1 to 5 pm. One with local watercolour artist, Christine Geaney, and the other with wildlife photographer, Matt Thompson.
Matt will show you how to use your camera to best effect and weather permitting will take you out on location in the lovely Mardyke Valley. The Get On 2 Get On bus has been booked so you will be able to download and edit pictures immediately. Though Matt’s passion is wildlife the techniques will benefit any budding photographer. If you don’t have a digital camera it isn’t a problem. The best photos will be entered into the BBC Country Files “Magic Moments”.
Chris has worked with all levels of expertise and is looking forward to sharing her expertise out and about Davy Down. “Painting outdoors is very different but good fun” says Chris. Bring what materials you have but Chris is supplying basic materials. If the weather lets us down we will use the wonderful pumping station.
At £10 each both courses are a bargain. “If it proves successful then we hope to offer more workshops in the future” Diana Hale explained. Joining is easy. Just phone Sue on 01375 413939 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. By Friday at 4 pm or on the weekend phone 01375 383744 or take pot luck and turn up before 1 pm on Sunday.
