A TILBURY man has become the third prisoner in four days to break out of an open prison.
Daniel Johnson, 29 absconded from HMP Sudbury in Derbyshire yesterday.
The 29-year-old was sentenced in February 2009 at Derby Crown Court to five years in jail for robbery offences.
He is white, 6ft, of proportionate build, with short, mousey hair and blue eyes.
His last known address is in Midway, Swadlincote, but he has previously lived in Tilbury.
It is unknown whether the break-outs are connected.
The other abscondees include John Hudson, a convicted murderer who kicked a man to death during a drug-fuelled rampage when he was just 18.
The men join a long lost of over 40 prisoners who have absconded from the open prison in the last four years.
Anyone with any information about the whereabouts of any of these men is asked not to approach them but to immediately contact their local police or Crimestoppers, which is anonymous, on 0800 555 111.
