ORMISTON PARK ACADEMY improved their 5 GCSE’s A* to C (including English and Maths) by a phenomenal 15% to 38.3% in what may well be seen as a real breakthrough year for the school.
The statistic puts the school in the top ten in the country when the Contextual Value Added (CVA) is calculated.
Headteacher Tess Walker was in ebullient mood when we spoke to her. Tess and the team have transformed the school over the past five years.
With the school physically going through a transformation to an Academy, some may have forgiven them for letting that reflect in their results.
