Tilbury 0 v 4 Enfield

SIX games and six red cards illustrate the problem at the heart of Tilbury’s game as the sunk to a heavy defeat from Enfield at Chadfields on Saturday.

Sadly, the game hinged on the dismissal of forward Ben Boyce after 27 minutes. It will be his last as he was released from the club soon after the game.

After the Boyce sending off this was always going to be a up-hill struggle for the Dockers which was a shame as they started very well with Nathan Gordon and Chris Taylor giving Enfield problems on the wings.

Chris Taylor had an excellent chance to give the Dockers the lead but his shot went wide of the post. The Dockers was went into the break at 0-0.

In the second half, the Dockers found it very difficult to contain Enfield who scored on 53 minutes from a set piece corner. The game was taken away from Tilbury on the 57th minutes when Enfield scored their second goal. Tilbury found it hard with playing with ten men for sixth time this season.

The game was wrapped up on the 87th minute when Ben Turner had a harsh penalty given against him to make the score 3-0. Enfield finish the rout with a solo effort to complete the scoring and the result.

Tilbury Manager Paul Vaughan said “I’m very disappointed, not only for the lads who are working hard for the club, the supporters and every one who work behind the scenes for the club.

I have to take the blame for the lack of discipline from certain players who have costs at least six points this season. We now have to work hard on Tuesday against Wingate & Finchley which is a must win for the Dockers to kick start our season. I am working hard trying to bring in a experience forward player to gives us the extra fire power.”
