RESIDENTS AND COUNCILLORS IN South Ockendon have slammed proposals for a 68-room care home in the Mollands Lane area of the town.
The plans, which have been submitted to the Thames Gateway Development Corporation (DC) would see the present garages demolished making way for the home.
Mollands Lane already has several care homes. An application for a care home in Aveley was recently withdrawn at the application stage.
YourThurrock spoke to Ockendon councillor Barry Johnson as to why the residents have such concerns regarding the planning application.
The plans can be viewed on the DC’s website www.thurrocktgdc.org.uk and the application reference is 10/50210/TTGOUT.
Does’nt seem to be any volume on this film!!!!!!!!!!! Can’t hear what Barry has to say!
