Thurrock Thameside Musical Society have commenced rehearsals on their latest ambitious project “Eurobeat”. The company normally only produce one show at the Thameside Theatre a year but they have taken the brave decision to raise the profile of the group and also improve their bank balance by putting on an extra show this autumn at a new venue.
The wonderfully cheesy “Eurobeat”will be performed using the excellent facilities at The Gateway Academy. TTMS are the first local group to do this and I’m sure others will follow .
“Eurobeat”, as the title suggests, is a parody of the Eurovision Contest and you don’t need any explanation there, but there is serious audience participation including voting by mobile phone, which will give the techies a few headaches, as there will also be live video links and electronic scoreboards but that should all add to the fun.
New songs , good cast and a new venue, this show should fill the plush seating at the Gateway.
The show runs from Nov 18th to 20th at the Gateway Academy. Yourthurrock will be back later to see how they are getting along.
