The “newspaper war” between the Patel’s newsagent in Canterbury Parade in South Ockendon and the Co-Op next door seems no nearer to a resolution.
Councillor Barry Johnson has intervened to try to plead the cause for the local business who believed that there was an “informal agreement” for the Co-Op not to sell newspapers.
