Firefighters tackled a fire in the centre of a block of nine garages. The officer in charge reported that the fire originated in one garage and spread to the two garages adjacent to it.
The fire was fully extinguished by 20:40hrs. Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used two hose reels and breaking in equipment.
The cause of the fire will be investigated.
