STANFORD and Corringham residents spent the weekend looking to the skies as the police helicopter searched in vain for a burglar that has been plaguing the streets, west of the borough.
An Essex police spokesperson said: “Police were called to Ashley Close in Corringham at 2.30pm on Sunday afternoon to search for a man wanted in connection with a burglary.
“The area was searched but there was no trace.”
