Impulse Leisure went dotty for Pudsey last week while raising over £1,000 for Children in Need.
On Wednesday 17th November, Impulse Leisure held their annual Aerobathon at the Civic Hall. The evening was a huge success with more than 70 participants doing their bit to raise money for Children in Need.
This year Impulse Leisure decided to try to raise even more money by holding a 12 hour Bikathon at Blackshots, Belhus Park and Corringham. Members of the public as well as staff took it in turns to make sure that no bike was left unused for the entire day. The grand total raised was £1430.70!
Terry Seward, 51, from Horndon who is a Platinum member at Impulse Leisure, said: “I’m cycling for an hour this morning on the bikes and then again this evening too. I’d like to say that we will raise over £1000, that would be very nice!”
Everyone was getting involved, even those who only came to use the gym. Kane Kenyon, 20, from Grays was encouraged to take part in the Bikathon during his usual work out and he didn’t take much convincing to saddle up and get peddling.
