FOLLOWING an inspection at 6am today, it has been possible to resume all waste and recycling collections this morning (Monday 6 December).
Staff will be carrying out scheduled Monday collections and will endeavour to collect from all scheduled roads.
However, the weekend’s thaw did not reach all areas of the borough, and some roads still remain inaccessible.
Collections may not be possible from these roads, nor in some rural areas of the borough. The council hopes to reach all households as soon as possible.
Residents are reminded to ensure that: all bins should be presented to the front boundary of their household; bins should be free of snow and ice; and collection staff should have access to the bins.
Thurrock Council and its Waste team wish to thank all residents for their patience during last week’s service suspension, and give assurances that full collections will resume at the earliest opportunity.
