Palmer’s boss forges links with China

Palmer’s College Principal, Mark Vinall, recently visited China as a guest of their Ministry of Education to strengthen educational and cultural links between the countries, and encourage the teaching of chinese languages in the UK.

Mr Vinall was part of a delegation of 31 Headteachers and Principals from across the UK who were given unrestricted access to a range of educational establishments in Beijing, including a middle school, vocational training college,a teacher training college and a university.

He said, “The visit was an exceptional opportunity to see the impressive progress that is being made in the Chinese educational system where life chances are substantially improved by the acquisition of qualifications.”

“The commitment to learning was hugely impressive at all levels and I hope that, as a result of this visit, there will be further student and staff exchanges in the future.”
