2010 has been a superb year for Chafford Hundred School and Enterprise College. They started the year with the accolade of “Most improved school in the United Kingdom” and capped a great year as they topped the league tables with the highest percentage of students gaining 5 or more GCSE’s at A*-C including English and Maths.
During this time, the school have been part of the London challenge. Helping other schools in London to improve. The scheme has been lauded as a great success. Now comes another tremendous challenge for the school.
On January 1st 2011, Headteacher Chris Tomlinson becomes Executive Head of both Chafford Hundred and Eltham Green Foundation school in Greenwich.
Eltham has fallen into special measures and so Chris and the team have been tasked with saving the school.
Chris is keen to point out to parents, staff and governors at Chafford that the candle of ambition will be burning brighter than ever at Chafford. Deputy head, Nicky Graham takes over as Head of school while Deputy Head at Chafford, George McMillan will become Head of school at Eltham.
