DESPITE the winter chill and frosty conditions, more than 20,000 people have paid Santa a visit in his winter wonderland at Lakeside Shopping Centre this year.
With three days of shopping remaining until Christmas, it is expected that up to 4,000 more will pass through the grotto to visit Santa and his elves at the regional shopping centre before December 25th.
Kylie Minor, Acting Marketing Manager at Lakeside, comments: “Last year our grotto welcomed just over 19,000 visitors so the increase this year will be significant. Lots of our shoppers have commented that their decision to visit the Lakeside grotto was influenced by the free admission and free gift for every child, which is something we intend to continue next year.”
