Teen robbed in Brennan Road, Tilbury

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 15-year-old boy was robbed in Brennan Road, Tilbury.

At around 4.15pm on Wednesday, February 9, the victim was walking through a cut through between Brennan Road and London Road, down a path at the side of the old sports centre when he was approached by two men. They pushed him to the floor before punching and kicking him. The stole a mobile phone, worth an estimated £56.

Investigating officer, Pc Richard Smears, said: “This must have been very frightening for this lad, who was walking on his own when he was set upon by these two robbers. The descriptions of the suspects are fairly detailed, so if you recognise this pair or witnessed this robbery, I need to hear from you.”

The first suspect was a white man, about 19 years old, about 5’10” – 6’ tall, blonde hair (flat style, but not too short), and had gingery coloured long side burns into a moustache. He was wearing a grey coloured jacket, fleece like with a logo on the left (possibly “FILA”), grey cotton tracksuit bottoms with the NIKE logo on the right leg and white Reebok boot style trainers.

The second suspect was a white man, aged about 18 years old, about 5’9” tall and had spots on his face. He was wearing a blue jumper which had a zip and buttons, a baseball cap with a bent peak, shiny silver tracksuit bottoms with a black strip down the sides, possibly NIKE.
