IT IS without doubt their biggest game of the season. In many ways it is their biggest game for the last three seasons as East Thurrock United welcome second placed Needham Market at Rookery Hill.
Table toppers East Thurrock have had a brilliant season under the sage guidance of John Coventry.
The timing of the season has been well judged but Covo has had to succumb to the cliche of “one game at a time” as he inches closer towards promotion.
Without playing champagne football, East Thurrock have ground out the victories whilst Needham, always highly fancied, have been struggling for the last six weeks.
But when they went head to head earlier this year, Needham got inside the Rocks heads and won easily.
Today may be less about revenge but about simply getting nearer to the finishing line.
However, expect a nervy start and a great atmosphere over at Rookery Hill.
