NATASHA Danvers won the bronze medal at the 400 metre hurdles at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. It was one of the special medals for the British team at the games because few believed Natasha would even get into the final. Infact due to her injury plagued year, some thought she shouldn’t be on the team.
But Natasha possesses a key inner belief, something that she wanted to pass on to the students at William Edwards last week.
Natasha came as part of the Jamie Baulch Academy which brings world class athletes into schools in the borough.
Here she tells the students about her sense of belief, how to train properly and to never give up.
Afterwards, YT caught up with Natasha to ask her how her season was going and the prospects for 2012.
