Purfleet residents are being asked to raise any issues or concerns they have about their area so they can be dealt with during the Partner Walkabout Day next Tuesday (May, 24).
Organised by the Thurrock Community Safety Partnership, the event involves experts being out in communities to listen first hand to their problems and, wherever possible, address them on the day.
Partners taking part in the event include a number of teams from Essex Police, Thurrock Council – housing, horticulture, Trading Standards and Community Protection responsible for anti-social behaviour and environmental crime. Essex Fire and Rescue and Essex Probations Community Payback workers will also get involved.
PCSOs are already out and about in Purfleet gathering details of problems which will be looked at as part of the walkabout day. They are visiting local groups as well as calling on residents’ in person.
On Thursday commuters were given their chance to air views to members of the partnership who visited the railway station with PCSOs.
PCSOs will be seeking residents’ views in the next week and residents are encouraged to provide as much information as possible. Alternatively to raise a matter of concern email firstname.lastname@example.org
