Here at YourThurrock, we are always in search of inspirational individuals within our community, and Stanford-le-Hope resident James Cordell is a fine example.
Over the next four days James will be cycling 300 miles from London to Paris in aid of FABED (Families Affected by Eosinophilic Disorders). James’ chosen charity supports families with children who suffer from a rare medical condition which makes them intolerant to all foods and medication taken orally. Both James’ niece and nephew suffer from this condition.
Throughout the run up to his cycle challenge, James has undertaken an extensive fundraising campaign to raise the awareness of FABED in order to encourage more people to support the children that are affected by this condition. However, it is James’ remarkably modest attitude towards his enormous cycle challenge which is truly admirable.
With that in mind, I believe it is time that we commend James for all of the effort he has shown so far and for his cycle challenge ahead. So, on behalf of everyone at YourThurrock, I would like to wish James every success on his London to Paris cycle ride!
