Masked men rob Co-op on Lodge Lane in Grays

FOR THE second time in three days a convenience store in Thurrock has been robbed by masked men.

Police received a call at 8.10pm last night (Saturday) to attend at the Co-operative store in Lodge Lane, Grays.

Staff reported that two men in balaclavas entered the store brandishing hammers and chisels. They demanded that staff open the tills. After being informed that the tills were locked, the two males prised three tills open, making off with them.

The two males are described as follows:

1. White male, in his mid-twenties. Black t-shirt, black shorts, white trainers.

2. White males in his mid twenties. Ginger hair, black top, black bottoms.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Target team at Grays Police Station on 0300 333 4444.

It is not known at this stage how much money has been stolen.
