Belhus under elevens won their latest pairs format game on Sunday morning at North Stifford with an 85-run win over Thurrock. An excellent fielding performance from Belhus caused seven Thurrock wickets to fall to run outs, three of which were direct hits. Joe Dalton claimed 2-14 with Eathan Morris, Liam Waters, Josh Reynolds and Tyler Kohl all picked up a wicket each. Belhus then continued their fine performance with a good batting display. Only two wickets were lost as Josh Reynolds stroked a classy 18 not out and Zak Wilson hit 9 not out including a fantastic six runs off his legs to the deep square boundary. Jonathan Bright and Dalton scored eight runs each. For Thurrock, Qureshi picked up one wicket and also top scored with eleven runs in a fine all round personal performance.

Belhus fell thirty runs short of their required target at Wickford last Wednesday in this South Essex Youth League encounter. In the face of some solid batting from the home team, Jack Martin-Hussey’s bowling figures were remarkable: He conceded just nine runs from a four over spell which included one maiden. Belhus had four batsmen in double figures, being Joe Downes, 23 not out, Ryan Wells hit 22, Jake Wolfe struck 13 and Mathew Lewis chimed in with a dozen runs.
