DAVY DOWN park is holding its second annual “Arts in the Park” activity day on Sunday August 14th from 1pm to 5pm at Davy Down park off Pilgrims Lane, North Stifford
Local artist Sylvia Maney will be leading a workshop in landscape art and can help any level of artist improve their techniques in the beautiful surroundings of the Mardyke river valley.
In addition award winning wildlife photographer and filmmaker Matt Thompson will help you make good use of your digital camera and give tips on taking better photos.
Community Artist John Bulley will be helping visitors decorate the Stifford Pumping Station windows with water themed murals. John will also be demonstrating how to paint a huge mural on the impressive Filter House Building.
Children can get creative and have fun in the kids tent and enjoy playing our giant games. Places on the adult art workshops in ‘Painting Landscapes’ and ‘Digital Wildlife Photography’ are limited and can be booked by calling 01375 413939 and asking for Sue or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org and cost £15 for 4 hour workshop, materials provided but bring your own camera.
