HUNDREDS of Tilbury residents had a chance to relax and have fun on Saturday (6 August) at the Koala Park Fun Day.
Organised by Thurrock Council’s tenant participation team and the Restoration Centre, a Christian group based on the estate, the event provided a wide range of fun and information.
Among those also taking part were the Broadway After School Club, the council’s Youth and Connexions team, local councillors, housing services, the One Community Development Trust, and local dance schools,
The event built on the success of previous annual fun days which have been held at the park for the last 11 years
The Restoration Centre provided African food, free soft drinks, and organised traditional games, while local agencies and councillors were on hand to provide information to residents.
Youth and Connexions also saved the day by providing a public address system after the Restoration Centre’s one broke down.
