THE DEVELOPMENT of the Thurrock Learning Campus went a stage further with the approval for the demolition of Marston House in Grays.
The decision was made by the planning committee of the Thurrock Thames Gateway Development Corporation (DC).
Marston House is now unoccupied with the residents re-housed.
The clearance of the area will see a careful demolition of the 92 flats and the surrounding garden area.
The committee stipulated that the recycled rubble be reduced to 2.5 metres high and for it not to be seen above the fence partition.
This will pave the way for the further development in the whole area of the Thurrock Learning Campus.
