The Big O and Gene Pitney at Thameside

THERE is no other tribute show quite like this, with uncanny impersonations of Roy Orbison and Gene Pitney at the Thameside Theatre, Grays on Saturday (1 October) at 7.45pm.

Both stars are performed by the highly-acclaimed, world-renowned, Paul Hopkins. Paul, from Nottingham, has performed at some of the greatest shows and festivals in the country and his talent is simply second to none.

The show begins with a truly awe-inspiring performance as Gene Pitney is brought back to the stage.

Gene had one of the most famous voices in the world and Paul’s natural semi-operatic singing style and unique acting ability, has meant we can sit back, relax and enjoy a magnificent tribute to this legend. Featuring 24 Hours from Tulsa, Backstage and I’m gonna be strong.

In the second half we see a very moving, yet exciting portrayal of The Big O, with expertly arranged narrative to set the scene for the audience, and take you on a melancholy journey through Roy’s eventful life. Featuring all the classic hits including Pretty Woman, I Drove all Night, and In Dreams. Finish the night dancing in the aisles!
