Police called in after complaint of theft from Thurrock Council offices

ESSEX POLICE are investigating an allegation of theft from the Thurrock Council offices in Grays.

Officers were contacted last week in relation to what is understood to be a theft of a painting.

An Essex Police spokesperson said: “We received a complaint from Thurrock Borough Council last week.

“A woman has been interviewed by officers after the execution of a warrant on Sunday afternoon (Oct 16th) in the Grays area.

“Investigations are continuing.”
