Your Voice Thrilled to Present the Tootsie Rollers!
The next Your Voice Event will be held on Thursday 20 October 2011 at the Thameside Theatre in Grays.
Joining the Event as special guests will be The Tootsie Rollers, who have been taking the London cabaret scene by storm. The Tootsie Rollers are an all-singing, all-dancing retro girlband. They dazzle audiences with their sizzling sound and high energy performances. Their music is a striking fusion of glamourous, golden-era classics sprinkled with contemporary magic to give them a totally Tootsie twist. They are going from strength to strength with recent performances in KOKO (Camden), Punk!, Madame JoJo’s, The Blitz Party, The Pink Festival and most recently the girls were thrilled to be the only act for Colin Firth’s 50th Birthday! Their arrangement of ‘Happy Birthday Mr Darcy’ went down a treat. There is also a local connect ion as one of the Tootsie Rollers, Tootsie Khiley Williams is from Chadwell-St-Mary. Your Voice is an exciting performance opportunity for young singers in Thurrock aged between 11 and 18 years of age. Performers will have the chance to develop their stagecraft skills by performing live at the Thameside Theatre in Grays. One lucky performer will win the opportunity of a day in a recording studio and all performances will be broadcast on www.yourthurrock.com!
