Are you ready for the digital switchover?

ngage are working in partnership with the BBC Switchover Help Scheme to try and increase awareness of the digital switchover that is happening in April 2012.

Caroline Smith, Citizenship Development Worker for ngage said “we are promoting the Help Scheme across Thurrock to try to reach older and disabled residents to let them know they may be eligible for help from the Help Scheme. Many people will find it simple to switch and lots of people already have. But for those who need a little extra help, we want them to know that they will get the additional support they need from the Switchover Help Scheme”.

If you know anyone who is over 75, has lived in a care home for 6 months or more, gets Disability Living Allowance, Attendance or Constant Attendance Allowance, Mobility supplement or is registered blind or partially sighted please encourage them to call 0800 40 85 900 to find out about the help they are entitled to.

It may not be necessary to make any changes to your aerial, however, if you have any concerns about your aerial signal, you can call 08456 505050 or visit http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/ for more information and a list of registered Digital Installers in your area.
