Councillors visit lap-dancing club and discuss “Breast practise”

NOW….YOU have got this far haven’t you?!

A team of Thurrock councillors went on a fact-finding mission recently as part of the decision-making process to determine whether a lap dancing club should be granted a sex establishment licence.

The three councillors visited Tenshi Gentlemen’s Club, Circus Tavern in Purfleet and discussed the visit at the meeting of the licensing sub-committee last night (Tuesday).

The three hour meeting exhaustively examined every nook and cranny of the application.

There had been no log of incidents by the police and there had been no complaints by residents.

A representative of the applicants, APSCT Ltd told the committee that the club brought much needed employment to the area by employing up to seventy people.

He continued: “It is a safe environment and has a proven track record. A number of high quality acts have performed there including the LA Centerfolds.”

The application had a long list of stipulations which were discussed at length including one intense debate regarding breasts.

One of the rules stressed that the girls must not touch breasts. The applicants stressed that there may be times when “accidental brushing” may occur.

Cllr Angie Gaywood asked the applicants for a full description of the dancing. A description was given.

The application was granted with a number of amendments to the application.
