POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an alleged theft to come forward, after goods were stolen from a pallet at the back of Poundstretcher, London Road, Grays, at around 4.45pm on Tuesday, December 15.
Investigating officer, Pc Jennifer McLean, said: “A witness alerted the shop owner that items were being stolen, but unfortunately they did not leave any details with the shop for us to get a statement from them. If this was you, or if you saw this incident too, your information could prove vital to our investigation, so please get in touch.”
A 16-year-old boy from Corringham and a 21-year-old woman from Grays were both arrested on suspicion of theft in connection with this incident. They have both been released on bail until Friday, January 6.
