Thurrock Council’s tenant participation team organised a ‘Good Practice’ forum for involved tenants from Thurrock and Brentwood on Thursday, 16 January at Seabrooke Rise Community House, Grays.
Tenants from both councils met to compare how they could get involved in shaping housing services in the two boroughs.
Other tenant representatives discussed how getting involved has led to them having more say in housing services.
There was also a lively discussion about how to support tenants going forward, including the importance of developing community facilities for tenants on estates and encouraging more tenants to have a say in the bigger housing issues via tenants’ panels.
If you’re a Thurrock Council tenant and would like to know more about how to get involved in shaping housing services, please contact the Tenant Participation team on 01375 754608.
