THREE Thurrock Council libraries are marking Holocaust Memorial Day (27 January) with special displays.
Libraries are places which reflect their local communities’ needs and offer resources on a wide range of subjects and access in many different ways.
The right to such resources is something many may take for granted. Libraries continue to act as a gateway to ideas and inspire and educate people in all sorts of ways.
Grays, Corringham and Belhus libraries will have the displays, giving an opportunity for young and old to remember the millions who have been killed or whose lives were affected by the Nazi persecution in Germany during the 1930s and 1940s to atrocities that continue in the world today.
