THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE of Grays Athletic, Andy Swallow has been arrested by the Metropolitan Police on suspicion to commit violence.
YT understands that Swallow, 51, Biscayne Avenue, London was arrested at his Canary Wharf flat on Saturday February 4th, the morning of the West Ham versus Millwall football match.
It is believed that a number of communication devices were removed from the flat.
A spokesperson for Essex Police said: “Newham Police are investigating disorder associated with football on January 7th (Dagenham v Millwall) and February 4th (West Ham v Millwall).
“On February 4th a 51 year old man was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit violent disorder and he was taken to an east London police station.
“He was subsequently bailed to return pending further enquires.”
Mr Swallow has issued a short statement: “Until March 2nd when the police will let us
know where they are going with this we have nothing to say.”
