Monday 2nd April, 11.00am to 1.00pm is the launch of the innovation rooms and Ormiston Park Academy are inviting parents to attend a preview of the new build.
The launch of the 3D and immersion rooms has proven to be highly successful. The Academy will be bringing the innovation rooms to the new build, along with the same level of cutting edge technology in all rooms throughout.
Tess Walker, Head Teacher at Ormiston Park Academy said, “On one end will be this amazing room called the Immersion Centre, complete with 3D screens/projectors on three walls which surround you and transport you to anywhere in the World.
“On the other will be classrooms filled with kindles, ipads and a host of other forms of technology that is set to give the students at OPA a real thirst for learning.” The opening of Ormiston Park Academy’s new build is just around the corner and they have allocated 1.5 million pounds to spend on technology.
“This preview is a chance to view an introduction of some of this high-tech technology and to find out just how innovative the new build is set to be.
Vice Principal, Huw Derrick said, “If you are still yet to see a school that is on par with us in terms of the level of technology we provide our students- just you wait until what you see in our school next year.”
