AFTER consultation with several weather agencies the Lakeside Hammers Sky Sports Elite League match against Wolverhampton , scheduled to take place on Friday night, has been postponed.
Three days of rain have left the Arena Essex Raceway circuit underwater and with more heavy showers forecast for Friday afternoon and early evening, the Club were left with no alternative but to cancel the fixture in time to avoid the riders on both sides having to take early morning flights to the UK and the both sets of supporters having to make unnecessary journeys.
The next home action for the Hammers will be in a fortnight (Friday 4th May) when title favourites Poole visit the Arena Essex Raceway in Elite League action.
