IF YOU love history then you have to get down to Tilbury on Saturday. The Tilbury and Chadwell memories project along with a host of organisations come together to put on a host of activities that bring the area to life.
Do you remember the Bomb Crater or the Bug Hutch? Then you may want to come along to the Down Memory Lane on Sept 8th from 10am – 4pm at the Tilbury Riverside Arts and Activity Centre. There will be a talk on Tilbury in the morning at 11am and one in the afternoon at 2pm with Jonathan Catton. There will a tour around the old ticket office with George Watts and tea/coffee/cakes available.
There are so many people involved that have a love for history and make it fascinating.
With the weather set fair, you really should take a trip down memory lane.
