DETECTIVES have appealed for witnesses after a stolen lorry was involved in a series of collisions in Essex.
The seven-and-a-ton truck was taken after the driver was assaulted in Thurrock at about 1.30am today, Thursday September 20.
Officers located the lorry but it failed to stop and was followed on the M25, A12 and A13 before it was stopped at Tilbury at about 3am.
A 22-year-old man from Kent was arrested on suspicion of committing theft and a variety of motoring offences.
He is currently being questioned by officers at GRAYS police station.
