Seventh gold watch presented to HW Wilson employee

IF YOU THOUGHT, presenting staff with a gold watch was a thing of the past, then think again as Ockendon-based building services company H W Wilson handed out their seventh recently.

The watches are handed out to employees who have completed 25 years continuous employment with the company.

Carrying out works throughout Thurrock, for the borough council as well as many other businesses and the local PCTs and NHS Hospitals, HW Wilson have 30 employees who have amassed over 340 years continuous service.

Along with some of their current crop of apprentices, they also have four senior members of staff all who have worked with the company since their apprenticeships and completed over the 25-year anniversary.

A spokesperson said: “We are very proud of this achievement of training and retaining good quality staff.”

  1. I would like to see Wilsons given the repairs contract, their work is exemplery. Why oh Why Tbc gave this to Morrisons is anyones guess. Good on you Wilsons for thinking of your staff, and may I thank you personally for making such a good job with the kitchen you put in for me 3-4 years ago, it still looks as new today.
