ONE of Thurrock’s leading V40, John Green, competed in the Amsterdam Marathon in very windy conditions returned a time of 2hr58m32s.
His twin brother, Paul, returned a time of 3hr7m56s.
Arguably Thurrock’s best Veteran runner at the moment is Scott Rice who finished 6th in the Hyde Park 5K in a time of 17m6s.
He won the veteran’s top prize with that performance.
This weekend the endurance runners tackle the Billericay 10k. This well organised race always attracts a strong field and some of Thurrock’s best runners should feature in leading positions.
