THE Friends of Grays Convent Association has been set up to support the school by fundraising and organising social events.
It is one of the ways they hope to build a sense of community within the school, by getting to know each other, and at the same time raise funds for the benefit our daughters.
Friends of Grays Convent association have the following events planned:
Quiz Night, Saturday 1st December 2012, at Grays Convent starting at 7.00 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. please contact the School on 01375-376173 to order tickets at £2.50 each. Bring your own drinks and nibbles.
They also have a Ceilidh planned for Saturday 2nd March 2013, more information to follow.
They have set up a 100 Club to help us raise funds for the benefit of the school. The 100 Club is a lottery made up of 100 numbers, one of which you can buy for a period of 12 months at the cost of £12.00, a pound for each month.
This number is then yours for the period of 12 months. Your allocated number will be drawn by lot. Each month all 100 numbered tickets are entered into a draw and prizes are awarded.
Each month they hope to raise £60 for the school with a 60/40 split in the income from the 100 Club. Therefore, every month there will be a prize fund of £40, divided into 2 prizes of £25 and £15.
The Friends of Grays Convent association have a Headteacher’s wish list for which any funds raised will contribute. These include:
1.Interactive white board for the new classroom £2500 approx.
2.Canopy- for new classroom waiting to price this when build has been finished
3.Benches-For the girls to use at break and lunch times costs between £185-£650.00
4.Sliding screen for the hall, price to be obtained.
