M25 closed and stationary traffic clockwise before J30, A13 (Lakeside), because of a serious accident involving two cars and recovery work.
Diversion in operation – follow the Hollow Triangle on the A127 out to Halfway House, and the A128 south to rejoin the A13 at Orsett.
Drivers should be aware of possible congestion on A128 and then A13 from Orsett to Lakeside.
Firefighters released a pregnant woman who was trapped in her car following a two vehicle RTC.
The woman was not physically trapped but because of her delicate condition it was decided to take her out of the car as carefully as possible.
Using two sets of cutting equipment crews had released the woman by 13:01hrs.
