Cllr Halden said “I first became aware of the TLC when I looked into the stroke project for a constituent of mine. Having disabled grandparents myself, I appreciate the work that groups like this do, and am totally committed to supporting them. Their work really goes beyond just adult social care, they really provide dignity and enjoyment for the elderly. I hope to sit down with them in the New Year and see what we can do to support this amazing community group.”
As part of their visit, Cllr Coxshall and Cllr Halden spoke to Tania O’Halloran from TLC Thurrock branch (pictured). Cllr Halden added “Society needs more people like Tania – community minded people prevent adult social care become an even more expensive and confusing world”.
