THE 1st Ockendon Scout and Guide Group enjoyed their visit to the Pantomime at the Thameside Theatre just before Christmas. They book the whole theatre so they can accommodate all the Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Rangers, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers and their families

Rob Clay who has the task of allocating the seats for the whole group said: “We have made this an annual event for four years now. It is nice to get the whole group together and the cast wear our neck scarves during the show to make it more unique to us which we are most grateful for.
“Everyone enjoys the Pantomimes at the Thameside and this year was no exception. We have already booked the date for 2013!”
Cinderella at the Thameside has received some outstanding reviews this year and there are still a few days to see the show as it closes on the afternoon of Sunday 6 January 2013.
To book the last remaining tickets, call the Box Office on Tel: 0845 300 5264 or book online at www.thurrock.gov.uk/theatre .
Our favourite comment has been from one of our reviewers from The Stage, Paul Vale who tweeted “Grays Cinderella is a bit like a live, daily version of Strictly only with more sequins and funnier jokes!”
The pantomime for 2013/14 will be Jack and the Beanstalk running from Friday 6 December 2013 to Sunday 5 January 2014 and will again be produced by Polka Dot Pantomimes – tickets are on sale now.
